The sensor is a great choice for automating door or window detection. Its compact size and fast response integrate well with systems like Home Assistant (using a Zigbee dongle if needed). It pairs nicely with other devices.
I set it up to turn on my entry lights when the door opens. Although Aqara suggests its own hub, pairing it with a Sonoff Zigbee dongle and ZHA in Home Assistant was simple. Detection is fast and reliable.
This sensor is small and fits any frame discreetly. Despite its size, it quickly detects changes and syncs with my automation setup, lighting up my entryway as soon as I arrive.
While Aqara suggests its hub, pairing with a Sonoff dongle was easy. Compatible with HomeKit, Alexa, and IFTTT too.
