You have to be very carefull when aligning the slide from your gun. The black top slider from the tool has a little play, so you may control it additional with your hand. To insert the dovetail from the red dot adapterplate, you have to position the gun slide a little diagonally. See Pictures for reference. At the end, I was able to do the job with this tool. Was also a learning process. Next time would be faster.

This is a very well made tool with fine adjustments. I used it to remove the rear sight on my H&K P30 and it worked like a charm. The interchangeable rubber blocks come in different shapes, so I used the wedge shaped ones. The screwed is geared fine which makes it effortless to move the sights out of the dovetail mount theyโre in. Iโd highly recommend this to anyone. Itโs the same model, sans the laser-cut marking, that the Glock Store sells.
